Meet Emma! She has 350 AR points! She is a second grader in Mrs. Zeigler's class. She loves to read and her favorite place to read is in her bed. Her favorite book so far this year has been Ida B. She does say her favorite author this year has been Roald Dahl. She said it is hard to just pick one favorite. She would like to help animals when she gets older and does not know what college she would like to attend. Some of her favorite include chocolate chip ice-cream, the sound of birds chirping, going to the beach and playing in the sand. If she could go anywhere in the world right now she would go to California to see her cousin and new baby cousin.

When she isn't reading she says she loves to sleep. Her favorite food is strawberries. When she graduates in 2028 she wants to go to Alcorn State and study to be a librarian. Meet Tucker. He has 275 points. He is a second grader in Kristen McKenzie’s class. He loves to read and play baseball. He wants to attend Southwest Mississippi Community College and Mississippi State. I wants to be like his Dad an work on pipelines. He has enjoyed reading the Goosebumps Series. He would love to go to LA to see the Dodgers play. His favorite player is Corey Seager! He likes his brother even if his mother doesn’t think so.
Meet Elizabeth. She has 275 points. Elizabeth is in Lisa Cothern’s second grade class. She has no idea what college she wants to go to yet. She knows she will have to go for a long time because she want to be a pediatrician. I want to make children well! Her favorite color is pink and she loves visiting Disney World with her family. She loves to read, watch movies. And sew in the summer. She told me, her Dad makes the best macaroni with bacon and her mom makes me the prettiest dresses. Keep reading Elizabeth!
Anna Claire "Ace" Fortenberry is a 4th grader that has over 600 points and has read over 4 million words this year. She said the first book in the series "Percy Jackson" got her hooked into reading this year! She plans to attend Southwest Community College and then USM. She would like to be a facial craniel doctor or a writer when she is older. She said reading makes you smarter and increases your vocabulary. It also helps with your writing. She loves to go out to eat and eat chicken habachi. When she is not holding a book reading she likes to make up her own stories and drawing. She is active in Girl Scouts and dance. She loves spending time with her awesome family. Ace loves going to the beach!
